Amazon would be kicking off the Re: invent week with the launch of AWS RoboMaker a cloud-based service.  The service would offer developers to develop and test their robotic applications that can be deployed using an open-source software Robot Operating System(ROS). RoboMaker acts as a platform that would speed up the development of robotic applications; the platform would in-turn help memory heavy applications to use a high-performance processor on the cloud.

Different tools that are being offered by Amazon are machine learning and analytics technology that will help in creating real-world robotics development platform. A system can also be used to manage the deployment of the application to help the user manage the workflow.

The company in a statement said that AWS RoboMaker can automatically set up the required infrastructure. The RoboMaker can download, compile, and configure the required OS for the robotic application.  The simulation will make it easier to set up large and parallel simulations with any pre-set testing environment. The users can simulate an environment like indoor rooms, race tracks, garden, retail stores, factories all real-life environments. The feature comes in when Amazon is looking towards robotics as an opportunity. The company had also deployed a warehouse robotics that will be used in the coming months to fulfill the demands during the holiday season.
