In the race of several companies offering cloud storage services, a new candidate has joined. Niti Aayog with Digiboxx introduced India’s first digital storage management provider. It is a platform where enterprises and individuals can store their files at a much lower cost than that being offered by the likes of Google.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) product is available in multiple languages, and additionally, the company plans to launch the service in Telugu soon. The company will also soon launch its data center in Hyderabad as it will be its next station.
Explaining the working of the product, Arnab Mitra, CEO, Digiboxx, said, “While India is the largest market for smartphones and laptops, there is no single Indian storage platform available at a lower price point. To solve this problem, we partnered with Niti Aayog and launched our platform in December last year. Enterprises or individuals have to either download our app on their mobile or desktop, and all their files can be stored directly on our cloud storage platform. We have partnered with recognized data centres pan-India and all the files stored on our cloud are encrypted.”
The storage is available on yearly and monthly plans starting at INR 30 per month. The free account comes with 20 GB storage, a 2 GB file size, and Gmail integration for individuals. For small-medium businesses, the INR 999 plan sums up 50 TB storage and 10 GB maximum file capacity.
The company Digiboxx has 6.7 lakh users, while 10% paid users are growing month on month and 50% are renewed users. Mitra said, “We plan to launch our service in the Telugu language soon and are keen to set up our own data center in Hyderabad.”
