Matillion, a start-up that organizes data for companies before sending it to the cloud data center for analysis, announced raising USD 100 million in the latest funding round but did not disclose the firm’s valuation.

According to Lightspeed and Matillion, Lightspeed Venture Partners is one of the leading investors in the funding round. It was an early investor in messaging app Snapchat.com.

Matillion Chief Executive Matthew Scullion told Reuters that the company’s platform is designed for people who had no coding skills to be able to pull various sources of data together and organize them, all this while reducing the time it takes to prepare the data for analysis.

No-code technology helps when there is a shortage of coders and business is quickly moving to digital and cloud models. Also, venture capital funds are even increasingly pouring money into start-ups.
