Quantum Workplace, a leading provider of comprehensive performance software and employee engagement, has announced that its customer, BKD CPAs & Advisors, one of the 15 largest US accounting and advisory companies, was named a winner in the 2020 Brandon Hall HCM Excellence Awards.

BKD earned a bronze award after being ranked in the Best Advance in Performance Management category. Collaboration with Quantum Workplace made BKD redesign its performance management programs, thus enhancing and supporting more timely and relevant feedback for employees.

The Brandon Hall Group has recognized BKD’s latest programs for reinventing performance management systems that foster a culture of continuous coaching and feedback, allowing better growth and enhanced engagement. Since 2019, BKD shifted its performance management efforts from a conventional, time-consuming approach to a more agile approach that promotes employee-owned growth. The move led to more clear, ongoing, and productive interactions between manager and employee, and also reported that nine out of 10 employees would recommend the new program to others.

A panel of independent senior industry experts, as well as Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives, hold responsibility for evaluating award entries. Results were determined based on the following criteria: design of the program, fit the need, innovation, functionality, and overall measurable benefits.

“BKD set out on a mission to restructure its performance management programs and initiatives. In addition to this prominent acknowledgment from Brandon Hall Group, BKD was also honored for the same program in Quantum Workplace’s own annual Employee Voice Award (EVA) program. Clearly, the strides they made in transforming culture fostered greater engagement and delivered higher performance levels. It is shifts like this that clearly demonstrate how the power of the intelligence, software technology, and strategies we deliver to our customers are reaping the results they desire across their workplaces. That is what is truly rewarding,” stated Greg Harris, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Quantum Workplace.

“The partnership we have forged with Quantum Workplace is significantly impacting our workplace culture. Our team is realizing a notable change in their communications, which is ultimately affecting performance. Quantum Workplace’s understanding of our needs has helped strengthen our culture and led us to this prestigious honor. We are grateful for the judges’ recognition of this collaboration and our internal successes,” added Julie Cummings, Chief Human Resources Officer at BKD.

“Organizations around the world highly value Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards – so much so that we received a record number of applications in the middle of a global pandemic,” said Rachel Cooke, Brandon Hall Group COO and Leader of the HCM Excellence Awards Program. “The awards provide valuable recognition and validation of best practices in all areas of HCM at a time when they have never been more important to both employers and employees.”

“The Excellence Awards serve the critical function of reinforcing the essential business benefit of creating great experiences for candidates and employees,” Brandon Hall Group CEO Mike Cooke said. “All award winners must demonstrate that their HCM programs drive bottom-line business results. That’s what sets our awards program apart from all others.”

All the Excellence Award winners will be honored at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference at the Hilton West Palm Beach, Florida, on 26–28 January 2021. During the conference, selected winners will also be presenting in breakout sessions about their leading practices.
