  • New enhancements by HqO help clients plan a safe return to the office.
  • HqO introduces two new features.

HqO, the comprehensive OS (operating system) for commercial buildings, broke the news of it extending tenant experience technology to support commercial real estate owners to get back to work safely amid the COVID-19 pandemic with the help of two new features.

Details

Every HqO client now has access to Capacity Manager, which is a management system designed for office spaces to assure a safe work atmosphere for tenants and their employees as they slowly get accustomed to the new normal of 2020. Clients also have access to the Building Population Report that consolidates vital tenant and operational data in a centralized manner making it easy for owners to operate their building effectively, maintain a profitable portfolio, and reduce churn.

Data gathered with the help of these two features can further be used for contact tracing amid the growing worries of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chase Garbarino, Co-founder and CEO of HqO, said, “Due to the pandemic, more and more tenant companies are seeking solutions to head back into the office safely.” He added, “Property owners have become both morally and legally responsible for changing building regulations that ensure tenant safety, causing a lot of anxiety and the need to reevaluate physical closeness in the workplace. Capacity Manager and the Building Population Report, along with the other components of the HqOS operating System, help tenants and their employees take a critical first steps towards improving building occupancy.”

The idea behind

The developments are directed to easily manage and understand details about employees that come to the office on a given day, especially when office management faces challenges with adhering to stringent and growing health procedures.

The Capacity Manager feature offers employees the ability to request time in the office and simultaneously gives the management the ability to screen these requests. When users request access to the building, they need to provide information such as their department, the reason for admission, and priority of the request to make sure that every tenant company makes the most of its limited capacity condition while keeping track of contact tracing.

The second feature or Building Population Report takes this a step ahead by analyzing tenant behavioral data that provides owners with actionable insights that lead to better operation of properties. The report captures information such as suite, occupied sq. ft, and more against tenant engagement and activation data to produce a comprehensive view of how tenants are using their buildings.

Vice President of Product at HqO, Kevin McGowan, said: “As companies look to return to work, employee safety is the most important concern.” He added, “Our team designed these features to allow companies to execute on their return-to-work plans in a controlled and safe manner. They empower companies and employees to effectively balance safety and work requirements, according to each individual’s comfort level.”

Primary features of Capacity Manager include –

  • An alert system that is engineered to notify tenants in case an in-house employee tests positive for the novel Coronavirus along with the summary of building safety terms and conditions that educate tenants on symptoms.
  • Combined with the Building Population Report’s potential to deliver property owners with a better comprehension of tenants with the help of “connection scores” that grow with the number of tenants interacting with the building.

Both features by HqO are focused on ensuring a safe and informed work setup for people returning to work.
