SIN1 data center facility

Big Data Exchange (BDx) publicized that its services from Cogent Communications will now be accessible at its Singapore (SIN1) data center facility. Cogent Communications is among the top three carriers specializing in offering IP transit, colocation services, dedicated internet access, ethernet transport, and SD-WAN services.

BDx states, “Singapore boasts the highest megawatt per capita globally, and its desirable and strategic location in the center of Asia empowers enterprises to access Asia-Pacific’s most rapidly emerging markets easily.”

On the other hand, the elevated demand for colocation space makes data center availability hard to come by for new consumers.

SIN1 includes 1,500 racks with a 6 MW power capacity within 14,400 square meters.

Moreover, it has been given an Uptime Tier 3 Design Certificate and holds SS564 GreenMark Gold Plus, TVRA, ISO27001, and PCI-DSS certifications.

The BDx 360 portal offers consumers a holistic view of their infrastructure from any device or location.

Cogent, a new carrier

Additionally, as a new carrier in the BDx SIN1 facility, Cogent will give BDx consumers an option to benefit from Cogent’s footprint, network capabilities, and range of services, the company stated.

Lakshmi Sona Singh, Business Development Director at BDx Data Centers, commented: “This new agreement with Cogent marks the beginning of a strategic partnership which we look forward to developing.” Further, she added, “We are proud that Cogent has chosen BDx to partner with, and we are pleased to welcome them into our SIN1 facility. We look forward to expanding our partnership in the near future.”

BDx is a Pan Asian data center cluster with sites all over Singapore, Hong Kong, and mainland China. Its hybrid cloud, colocation, and connectivity solutions offer reliability and security for its global consumers’ IT infrastructure.

BDx builds a secure hybrid ecosystem with its BDx Single Pane offerings, BDx SoftConnect, and BDx Armour as a carrier-neutral provider, thus, offering connectivity solutions across Asia.

Automated BDx modules offer consumers the customization option and ability to manage physical racks with the same ease as working in public clouds.
