Cloudflare Inc., a content delivery network provider, announced to extend its collaboration with Microsoft Corp. to offer customers the deployment, automation, and enhancement of zero-trust security for their organization.

The extended partnership between Microsoft and Cloudflare enables customers to deploy zero-trust security tools in minimal time with very little and simple code alterations. Cloudflare’s Remote Browser Isolation technology, one of the claimed industry-first features, has been a crucial part of this integration.

With this incorporation, Cloudflare now offers an all-inclusive identity-driven approach to curb the attacks on networks, applications, devices, and users. A quality zero-trust offering is generated with the combination of Cloudflare’s network security tools and Microsoft’s identity solutions. This ascertains that users and devices can be trusted as genuine only after they produce company-approved proof of identities.

According to both the companies, the customers of Cloudflare and Microsoft Azure Active Directory can access zero-trust security without altering a single line of code. Joint customers can have access to particular applications subject to device platform, user risk level, or location. They can specify certain rules in Cloudflare Access or Azure AD.

The browser isolation technology helps customers to automatically detach the high-risk users. The Azure AD integrated with Cloudflare’s Remote Browser Isolation can contain temporary employees in a remote browser session for enhanced security purpose.

Cloudflare Access is directly linked with Azure AD by making use of system for Cross-Domain Identity Management. Several groups are automatically synced over Azure Active Directory and Cloudflare platforms, saving enormous time of manual tasks that IT teams perform.

For the sake of confidentiality, the latest integration between Azure Government Cloud and Cloudflare’s global network via Secure Hybrid Access program keeps vulnerable government data off the public internet. Government customers can also specify and instill granular rules to determine which users can access data with the help of joint solution from the dashboard without making any changes in the code.

“When I speak with CIOs, I continue to hear that their no.1 concern remains security, closely followed by adapting to the new hybrid world,” said Matthew Prince, chief executive officer at Cloudflare. “We want to make it easier than ever for IT leaders to deploy zero-trust security across the enterprise and keep users safe wherever they are working from,” added Prince.
