NetFay, a Taiwanese-based start-up, has introduced a Peer-to-Peer Encrypted Private Data Platform. It is a revolutionary SaaS and VSaaS solution that will tackle the challenges of working remotely amid the COVID-19 pandemic. NetFay’s advanced technology provides a more secure experience for sharing and storing files in public servers that risk exposing company private data.

NetFay received approval for entry from the Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology – Science Park in November 2021. This brought to focus NetFay’s technology advancements in delivering online file access and group sharing services for cross-platform devices such as distant PCs, NBs, and mobile phones. With peer-to-peer data encryption, technology, too, stands out with reference to privacy and confidentiality.

Peer-to-Peer encrypted platform addresses data privacy risks

The newly-launched platform makes data collaboration and group sharing processes easy with remote office service access. The private data platform eliminates the need to upload private data to the public cloud, thus saving companies money as no monthly fees is needed to expand storage space.

The data platform’s simple in-built IT settings let users access private data at home, in the office, or anywhere they wish to with their PC, notebook, or smartphone. The platform’s SaaS and VSaaS subscription models allow remote workers to access private data stored at  home or office internal networks. At the same time, it also ensures the security and confidentiality of the connection, which has become one of the critical concerns.

In order to maintain data safety, an enterprise may set up a VPN, but most require complex settings from IT professionals that are impractical for remote working. With easy access, the platform allows employees to work remotely, allowing them to collaborate with different people through the group authorization feature. Furthermore, the platform is not just connected to storage but can also bring together various streaming IoTs devices, like IP cameras or displays for more applications.

“It has the ease of use similar to that of a public cloud. At the same time, it retains the advantages of peer-to-peer encrypted communication to ensure personal data privacy. It can also build an IoT system for live streaming monitoring and multimedia resources,” said Kuei-Fu Hsu, Founder, and CEO of NetFay.

The platform makes it possible to transmit static data and stream video and audio data in real-time, irrespective of time and place. It also gives IoT edge computing a push where customers can use a single sign-on account to use various services on the platform in real-time, including watching live view streaming data from network camera or display directly, with surveillance service and AI image process analysis applications.

Private data can be transmitted between edge devices directly, and it does not pass through any cloud server to ensure data safety. This will allow users to access data without uploading or downloading private data from cloud servers between sender and receiver.
