Palo Alto Networks Inc. recently unveiled a suite of new security solutions driven by its Precision AI technology. These solutions are crafted to safeguard enterprises against artificial intelligence threats and ensure secure AI implementation from the outset.

The new Precision AI Security solutions harnesses Palo Alto’s Precision AI, merging machine learning and deep learning with the accessibility of generative AI. According to the company, this approach delivers security capabilities that can outperform adversaries and provide more proactive protection for networks and infrastructure. Precision AI has been integrated throughout Palo Alto’s Strata, Prisma, and Cortex offerings to introduce new capabilities to address crucial enterprise use cases.

The new Precision AI Security Bundle provides advanced security services fueled by Precision AI. These include Advanced URL Filtering, Advanced Threat Prevention, Advanced WildFire, and Advanced DNS Security. These services leverage inline AI to thwart sophisticated web-based threats, zero-day threats, evasive command-and-control attacks, and DNS hijacking attacks.

One of the specific new solutions is Counter AI with AI, which utilizes AI-powered security measures to counteract the potential negative impacts or risks stemming from the malicious use of AI. Another feature, Secure AI by Design, establishes a security AI ecosystem that prioritizes the integrity of AI security frameworks, enhances compliance, and reduces data exposure.

Amidst the new announcements, an AI Access Security feature facilitates an organization’s workforce to utilize AI tools confidently, providing security teams with comprehensive visibility, robust controls, data protection, and proactive threat prevention measures. Additionally, AI Runtime Security, as its name implies, safeguards against runtime threats like prompt injections, model denial of service attacks, and insecure outputs.

The new AI-enabled Code to Cloud capabilities encompass AI attack path, blast radius analysis, and guided remediation. These functionalities uncover complex risks and potential breach pathways, facilitating more effective threat mitigation.

Finally, Palo Alto announced Prisma Cloud AI Security Posture Management, a service to secure AI ecosystems. It identifies vulnerabilities and prioritizes misconfigurations in models, applications, and resources. The service enhances compliance and minimizes data exposure, improving the integrity of your AI security framework, according to the company.

“Enterprises must move even faster beyond disparate processes and solutions to recognize the benefits of a connected platform that represents more than just a tech stack — but instead a critical business mechanism and undeniable driver of success,” stated Nikesh Arora, the Chief Executive. “Platformization is the approach needed, and integrated solutions that can both protect and enable AI are integral to achieving results.”

Arora added, “Precision AI by Palo Alto Networks is the game changer that will create a new paradigm in security — perhaps for the first time — where the defender is ahead of the adversary.”

The new solutions are slated to be made generally available later in the year.
