Verica, the continuous verification company that makes systems more reliable and less vulnerable to costly incidents, launched a Prowler Pro service in association with Prowler creator Toni de la Fuente.

Prowler Pro is an upgraded version of the Prowler Open Source, one of the most recognizable and trusted open-source tools for Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud security.

Verica introduced the Prowler Pro services to introduce a tool to secure multiple accounts within AWS environments that can be easily accessible for multiple enterprise IT security and operations teams.

According to Verica CTO Aaron Rinehart, Prowler Pro makes it easier to conduct AWS security assessments, audits, incident response, continuous monitoring, hardening, and forensics using a tool version that presents a graphical interface. The existing Prowler Open Source tool comes with a Command Line Interface (CLI) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) available to and employed by DevOps professionals.

Prowler Pro contains over 220 controls covering CIS, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, GDPR, HIPAA, FFIEC, SOC2, AWS FTR, ENS, and other custom security frameworks. The new service is available on AWS Marketplace. The firms believe that it can be deployed easily in numerous AWS cloud accounts and provide continuous monitoring, quick execution, personalized support, and customizable dashboards.

We are excited to offer a solution for AWS Security that will complement and make Prowler Open Source even stronger.”

Prowler Open Source will still be available on Github for cloud security experts and developers. The team will concentrate on improving the open-source product, including growing its database of over 220 tests and upgrading Prowler Pro features. Whether Prowler Open Source or Prowler Pro customers, organizations will have much to look forward to with tool updates that will make safeguarding their AWS systems substantially easier.
