Canva Pty. Ltd., a business that develops tools for graphic design, is extending its artificial intelligence capabilities by releasing a new suite of brand management features and AI design tools.

The new tools are designed to assist teams and organizations of all sizes in communicating graphically and creating content on a big scale. Canva was founded in 2012, and its client base consists of 120 million monthly users, an increase of more than 35 million since the September 2022 launch of Canva’s Visual Worksuite. Moreover, over 15 billion designs have been generated using Canva.

Canva’s existing customer base, which includes firms like FedEx Corp., Starbucks Corp., and Zoom Video Communications Inc., now has access to various new and improved tools for generating social media graphics, video content, presentations, and documents.

Topping the list is the extension of Canva’s Visual Worksuite capabilities with Brand Hub, a collection of new tools and services designed to help teams and organizations create efficiently and remain on brand. Brand Kit is a component of Brand Hub that enables users to build a Brand Kit containing logos, fonts, colors, icons, images, graphics, and brand rules.

The feature, Magic Replace, lets customers instantly update brand assets across an entire organization with a single click. Brand Templates enable users to build and share templates for rapidly producing on-brand, engaging content, while Brand Folders help users to keep branding organized and accessible.

Brand Guidelines is a new tool that enables an organization’s brand guidelines to be automatically and contextually revealed within the Canva Editor while teams produce designs, ensuring everyone has the best information to represent their brand. Brand Controls, an additional new feature, assures teams that they are designing brand-compliant content.

Canva has also incorporated Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its Visual Worksuite by adding new tools that expedite the creative process and unleash new potential.

Among its features is Magic Design, which allows users to submit a picture and choose a style before the AI generates various unique designs. Magic Edit enables users to add or alter anything in an image, while Magic Eraser removes undesired elements from images.

Users of Canva may “magically” construct new presentations using AI by requesting the editor. Afterward, Magic Design provides a variety of presentations with an outline and content on each slide.

The new Canva Assistant unlocks the best of Canva by allowing users to search for captivating features, receive image and layout recommendations, and produce bespoke AI content to enhance their designs.

Other new features include Beat Sync, which automatically synchronizes video footage with the audio track, an AI-powered translation capability that supports over 100 languages, and Magic Write, a service that generates content from a simple word prompt.

Canva has also introduced several widely desired innovations from its worldwide user base and “sprinkling extra magic into existing ones.”

Melanie Perkins, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Canva, stated, “Ten years ago, we launched Canva driven by a vision to empower everyone to design anything, no matter their skills or experience. Today, we’re thrilled to advance that vision by introducing a new range of features that empower brands to scale their creative outputs.”
