LinkedIn recently unveiled three artificial intelligence tools to enhance companies’ marketing, recruitment, and employee coaching initiatives.

These tools are being released a few weeks after Microsoft Corp.’s unit launched another set of AI features tailored explicitly for sales professionals. As per LinkedIn, these features simplify identifying potential buyers likely to be receptive to a sales team’s pitch. Furthermore, LinkedIn’s AI can offer contextual information about the companies where prospective buyers are employed.

LinkedIn introduced a new tool recently called ‘Accelerate.’ It is being gradually rolled out for Campaign Manager; existing service marketers utilize it to initiate advertising campaigns on the social network.

According to LinkedIn, Accelerate leverages AI to autonomously create comprehensive ad campaigns with marketing copy and visuals. The tool also provides recommendations for target audiences on which a brand’s advertisements should focus. To activate the tool, marketers must input a web page link describing the products they intend to promote.

Within Accelerate, marketing teams can utilize a built-in chatbot to seek explanations on why the tool configured a campaign’s settings in a particular manner. In case of any concerns, marketing teams can modify the campaign’s settings and creative assets manually.

In a blog post, Abhishek Shrivastava, Vice President of Product at LinkedIn, wrote, “After choosing to launch your Accelerate campaign, our AI models will use the information you shared to automatically adjust bids and shift budget to the best-performing placements and creative.”

Rolling out in parallel is another new AI tool named Recruiter 2024, accompanying the launch of Accelerate. True to its name, it is tailored to assist human resources professionals in seamlessly discovering job candidates on LinkedIn.

This tool allows recruiters to search for potential applicants by inputting natural language instructions through an interface resembling a chatbot. For instance, a recruiter looking to hire Java developers could type in the query “find Java developers near our headquarters.” LinkedIn highlights that the natural language interface of this tool not only simplifies the process of creating search queries but also helps users discover more relevant candidates than ever before.

Hari Srinivasan, Vice President of Product at LinkedIn, explained, “We can infer the type of candidate the hirer is looking for and provide higher-quality candidate recommendations from a much wider pool of candidates — moving beyond the brand-name companies that have traditionally been the default.”

Very recently, LinkedIn introduced the third AI tool, which is being launched for its LinkedIn Learning service that offers access to employee training courses and various educational materials. The new tool intends to offer what the Microsoft unit mentions as an “AI-powered coaching experience.” Besides, it allows users to ask questions about specific business topics, like initiating marketing projects, and get guidance in a natural language pattern.

The tool begins with an initial emphasis on two core areas: leadership and management. When a user poses a complex question within these topics that is challenging to interpret, the chatbot can request further clarification for a more accurate response. Moreover, it can pinpoint educational resources on LinkedIn Learning that comprehensively address the user’s question.

LinkedIn is currently testing its new AI features with a selected group of customers in a pilot phase. The Microsoft unit intends to expand these features’ availability to a broader audience later this year.
