The ChatGPT-powered search tool of Microsoft is anticipated to debut before the end of March. Instead of providing a list of matched results, the feature would purportedly offer natural language responses to some search queries. However, it is assumed that Bing will continue to handle most searches using its current algorithm.

The Information reports that Microsoft may use ChatGPT for additional purposes besides addressing customer inquiries. The AI may enable Bing to understand the topic on which a user is conducting research and propose queries that provide relevant results.

ChatGPT was initially released by OpenAI last month. The AI system can provide thorough natural language responses to complicated user queries. During an internal test by OpenAI, the AI system successfully recognized a defect in a piece of software code, explained the problem, and even suggested solutions to correct it.

ChatGPT is built on a collection of AI models designated as GPT-3.5. In the series, there are three AI models: two are tuned to generate natural language text, while the third is optimized to develop software code in response to human prompts.
