It is not easy to deploy and manage data centers with hundreds of compute and storage resources and thousands of virtual machines (VMs).

In a hybrid cloud environment, you need a single integrated solution that is easy to deploy and operate through built-in automated lifecycle management.

In this project, the Tolly Group builds out a production-ready Vmware Cloud Foundation built on Dell PowerEdge MX Modular server infrastructure. They test and describe how much infrastructure (hardware), time and capital investment is required to get it off the ground and expand it down the road.

They also outline the steps and changes required to grow from single chassis to multi-chassis deployment where two or more chassis build upon the initial Cloud Foundation installation.
