IT departments in all industries perform many tasks, such as developing, deploying, and maintaining the application services needed to achieve business goals. Typically, accomplishing these tasks requires the collaboration of two distinct groups: developers to develop and support the appropriate application services, and operations and IT infrastructure (I&O) teams to deploy and maintain these services.
