  • Companies will be able to leverage Databricks’ AI/ML solutions to construct models leveraging real-time data and offer more precise business predictions after the integration with Striim.

Striim, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for real-time data integration and streaming headquartered in California, announced at the ongoing Big Data LDN (London) conference that it has joined Databricks’ technology partner program.

Under the terms of the engagement, the company will integrate its data streaming service with Databricks. This will let businesses access real-time data and take appropriate action from their lakehouse infrastructure.

Ariel Amster, director of strategic technology partners at Databricks, said, “We intentionally partner with technology providers like Striim to enable our customers to speed their time-to-insights. We are excited to partner with Striim, providing our customers access to a fully managed cloud service to seamlessly connect data from databases, applications, and disparate clouds to Databricks in real-time.”

Built using open-source technology, Databricks’ lakehouse combines the benefits of a data lake and data warehouse and gives businesses the option to create Artificial Intelligence (AI) and analytics apps on top of their datasets. With this integration, companies will be able to leverage Databricks’ AI/ML solutions to construct models leveraging real-time data and offering more precise business predictions. Striim recently announced entry into the UK and EMEA markets.
